From a student community to a global platform
Every part of what we do today grew from one principle: no one should have to struggle alone.
PsyCare is founded
InPsyCare began under the name PsyCare, a social media group formed to support psychology students and enthusiasts who struggled to access resources. It offered a welcoming space to share knowledge, exchange study materials and learn together without barriers.
Inclusion and openness
From the outset the community embraced inclusivity. Every voice was respected and no idea was dismissed as wrong, creating a culture that valued curiosity, welcomed beginners and encouraged dialogue without judgement.
A national network
Weekly meetups brought members from across India together, building a network in which knowledge was shared freely. The community widened its role to include signposting services, soft skills training and online sessions that reached audiences far beyond its original circles.
Many professions, one purpose
Students and professionals from psychology, social work, medicine and allied fields joined, bringing fresh perspectives and breaking down silos. National and international talk shows, debates and panel discussions created spaces for dialogue, awareness and change.
Support during COVID-19
During the pandemic, InPsyCare became a lifeline for thousands of people. Volunteers delivered online sessions supervised by qualified professionals, offering emotional and psychological support during a global crisis. This commitment attracted doctors, professors, lecturers and experienced practitioners, who formed an advisory committee, while a network of regional coordinators organised workshops and study meetups locally.
A global community
InPsyCare grew into an international community of students, professionals and service users: a trusted space for learning, discussion and mutual support across borders, offering free mental health support, signposting and guidance.
InPsyCare is launched
PsyCare became InPsyCare, a fully online international platform with a clear purpose: to make mental health support accessible, inclusive and stigma-free.
