About Our Founder & Director

Mr. Arun Joshy

In the inspiring world of personal growth and meaningful connection, some individuals stand as the true architects of change, building essential bridges toward understanding and healing. Mr. Arun Joshy is one such compassionate visionary whose entire life's work is dedicated to fostering mental wellness and psychological empowerment across the globe. His incredible journey beautifully illustrates the powerful idea that true purpose is found in lifting others, and his story shines as a bright beacon of hope for everyone seeking a more fulfilling life. This is not merely a biography; it's an invitation to witness the inspiring transformation of a man who built a sanctuary for minds, a source of light and comfort in a world often struggling with its inner turmoil.

This inspiring journey began simply in 2015 with a social media group called PsyCare. Back then, learning about psychology felt lonely and resources were hard to find. Mr. Joshy saw a chance to create a new, better way. He imagined a communitywhere students and enthusiasts could join together, not just to read books, but to support, inspire, and genuinely growas a group. This idea immediately broke down the walls that held back personal and intellectual growth. The group was built on sharing knowledge and learning together, quickly becoming a lively place where every person's voice was important and celebrated. The energy was amazing—full of passion—and members discovered that learning could be a deeply meaningful and shared experience. This original spark of connection and shared goal is the very heart of InPsyCare and still guides its important work today.

Under Mr. Joshy’s dynamic and compassionate leadership, InPsyCare evolved far beyond its digital origins. It transformed into InPsyCare, a globally recognised, non-commercial educational platform, and a prominent international community with a vast network of students, professionals, and followers. The transition was a testament to his foresight and unwavering belief that education and awareness in mental health should be universally accessible and stigma-free. InPsyCare stands as a monument to this revolutionary belief, serving as a powerful force for global psychological development. It is a place where aspiring minds are not merely given a syllabus to follow, but are empowered with invaluable opportunities to explore and gain hands-on experience in their chosen careers. This platform effectively bridges the critical gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world application, ensuring that the next generation of mental health practitioners is not just well-read but also deeply prepared to make a tangible difference.

Mr. Arun Joshy’s journey is a powerful testament to the idea that expertise is built through relentless dedicationand a thirst for knowledge. His educational path is not just a list of degrees; it is a meticulously crafted foundation for service. He built his understanding from the ground up, earning a rare triple bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Economics, and Psychology. This unique blend gave him a comprehensive lens to view human behaviour, combining the depths of the mind with societal and economic realities. He further fortified this base with a master’s degree in Medical and Psychiatric Social Work from SDM College, India, and an MSc in Public Health from the prestigious University of Northampton, England.

This remarkable academic rigour is proof that he is not just qualified, but profoundly prepared to address the most complex challenges. Every degree and certification, including his official registration as a social worker under Social Care Wales, underscores a single, powerful commitment: to not only understand the intricacies of the human mind but to apply that deep knowledge to genuinely improve society. His expertise is your assurance of truly dedicated and compassionate care.

As a distinguished psychiatric counsellor and a leading trainer, Mr. Joshy actively shapes the mental health discourse by conducting engaging debates, discussions, and workshops that forge vibrant learning communities. His expertise is particularly profound in his specialisation in addressing the psycho-social challenges faced by female adolescents in relationships and sexuality. In this sensitive and vital area, he has completed over 5,000 counselling and therapeutic sessions, profoundly impacting countless lives by providing a safe and non-judgmental space for healing and growth. His passion for social service has been a consistent thread throughout his life, dating back to his early years in Kerala, India. His voluntary efforts and leadership were recognised from a young age when he served as a volunteer at the 2015 National Games and as the student coordinator for "Nallapadam," a media initiative dedicated to fostering social responsibility. His active participation in the National Service Scheme (NSS) further highlights his enduring commitment to serving his community.

Mr. Joshy’s intellectual world is boundless, driven by a deep and relentless curiosity that extends into scholarly research and publication. His professional practice is not based merely on theory, but is continually informed and elevated by his contributions to the global academic community. His work is well-documented in both national and international journals, covering an expansive array of topics that reflect his desire to explore the human experience from every angle. He has provided valuable, empirical insights into how major social and developmental factors influence the human mind, shedding light on the complexities of family dynamics and the impact of the environment on youth. This dedication to rigorous investigation, which includes studies crossing the boundaries of ancient wisdom and modern scientific review, showcases a passion for generating new, practical knowledge that ultimately serves his mission: to provide the most informed and effective care. He is a professional who not only practices but also actively advances the very field he serves.

Currently, Mr. Joshy continues to inspire through his multifaceted work. He serves as a Mental Health Social Worker within the Community Mental Health Team in Wales, United Kingdom, where his service is a beacon of professionalism and care. In a testament to his selfless nature, he also generously mentors students in psychology, social work, and public health, supporting their academic research and clinical practice. This commitment to building a new generation of knowledgeable and compassionate practitioners is a cornerstone of his legacy. Furthermore, he continues to lead various training programs and online workshops, offering psychotherapies and counselling sessions while managing a dedicated team of mental health professionals through InPsyCare. His holistic approach, coupled with his profound understanding of mental health issues, makes him a true guiding force in the lives of many, reinforcing his legacy as a catalyst for positive and enduring change.

Beyond his professional and academic pursuits, Mr. Joshy is a Renaissance man of many talents and interests. He is an accomplished photographer, videographer, and editor, demonstrating a creative and artistic side that beautifully complements his analytical mind. His expertise extends to audio and video production, showcasing his mastery of various forms of media. His passion for music is expressed through his skilled playing of the "Chande," a South Indian percussion instrument, and his innovative use of technology to create and compose music. Adding another layer to his diverse repertoire, he is a dedicated martial artist, holding a 1st dan Black belt in karate and having trained in kung-fu, kickboxing, and mixed martial arts. These personal pursuits reveal a man who is not only committed to intellectual and emotional well-being but also to physical discipline and artistic expression, embodying a truly holistic approach to life that inspires others to seek balance and passion in their own journeys. Mr. Arun Joshy’s life is a living testament to the idea that with passion, dedication, and a compassionate heart, one can truly transform the world. His enduring legacy is not just in the institutions he has built, but in the countless lives he has touched and the future practitioners he has empowered.
